Water-Based Inks for Tee Shirt Printing

Water-based inks are also used for a “soft hand feel”. A soft hand is the condition where the ink film cannot easily be felt with the hand when the hand is passed along the surface of the shirt. It has taken us years to perfect the use of water-based inks. They are much more difficult to cure than traditional plastisol inks. Water-Based inks are only used on light colored garments. This print process is much like painting a wall. If your wall is a light color and you want to paint a darker color on that wall you will only need a minimal amount to coat the wall. That is what makes water-based inks so popular when printing shirts. Very little inks is used.
