Custom Band Merch with Discharge Printing!

We just wrapped up a re-order for very talented musician of Jesus Culture. Their t-shirt merchandise came out amazing, we were really happy with the results. We printed with discharge ink on t-shirts and discharge on zipper sweatshirts. All the tees were 100% cotton from Next Level Apparel. We are very familiar with NLA tees so we knew they would react well. Printing discharge on zipper sweatshirts can be a little tricky since we needed to print over the zipper. Discharge ink is very thin (waterbased) therefore, when the seam creates a gap with the screen, it can print too much ink and ‘blob out’ the print. Also, the sweatshirts were a poly-cotton blend of 80/20 so we were sure how the discharge ink would react, but they came out perfect!

Inside Neck Print:

The inside neck print was printed with soft plastisol ink. We always use plastisol ink, as opposed to waterbased, to prevent the ink from bleeding through to the back of the shirt. Inside label printing is a fantastic way to add a professional touch to your tee at a low price!

The before and after discharge print photo below is a simple example of how in ink looks prior to sending through our gas dryer. When done right, the results are soft and amazing.
